Proverbs: Wisdom for Marriage
Are Christian marriages any different than non-Christian marriages? Does the Bible offer any unique insight on how to have healthy, growing relationships between a husband and wife? In this sermon Pastor Byron gives us 6 keys to a good marriage from the book of Proverbs showing how marriage is a good thing, and you can obtain favor from the Lord for your relationships.

Take 5 minutes to silently read over the section of scriptures to gather insight, questions, or discussion with the group before answering the questions.
QUESTIONS FOR THE WEEK
1. Have you ever heard that Christian marriages are no different than non? Does the research surprise you to find out they are different? What do you think distinguishes Christian marriage from non? (Proverbs 18:22)
2. What areas of marriage do you think the Fear of the Lord brings confidence? How do we build our marriages on the Fear of the Lord? (Proverbs 14:26)
3. Why is frequent sex between a husband and wife a key to a good marriage? Does it surprise you to read the Bibles positive view of sex? Share your thoughts (Proverbs 5:18-19)
4. Did anyone model before you what a good marriage should look like? Which one of the keys found in Proverbs is something that you need for your relationships? (Read the verse that goes along with it and respond.)
5. Read Ephesians 5:22-33 and explain why Paul and Proverbs agree marriage is a good thing. What is the distinguishing factor between Christian marriages and non?
